Archie and I were absolutely delighted when we were approached to partner with South Paw Pets – a brand we already loved for their 100% recycled corrugated cardboard cat scratchers. Not only are they environmentally friendly, these gorgeous scratchers are also super stylish and incredibly well priced.
As those of you with feline friends know, tactfully discouraging cats from scratching the furniture is one of our biggest challenges. With Atticus and Sam still under 3 years old, our decor is taking a beating! South Paw Scratchers provide the perfect distraction – as the cats seem to be really drawn to the texture and comfort of both scratching and reclining on them.
If you observe cats as often as I do (almost professionally in my case) you may notice that most cats have a natural preference for scratching in a particular “direction” – either vertically or horizontally. South Paw Scratchers have been especially useful for training our cat Sam – a natural horizontal scratcher – away from our rugs and couch arm rests. Unlike other scratchers we have tried in the past, these ones have enough weight that they will not topple over even in a very vigorous scratch and play session!
In addition to scratchers South Paw Pets Cat Toys include fantastic cat wands, mice packs and feather lures. The feather lures have captured the interests of our furry friends beyond any we have used previously – they literally fly like a bird when spun around at high speed. Even an old timer like Archie can be kept mesmerised!
South Paw Pets are based in Melbourne and offer competitive postage Australia wide. With most of their products priced under $30 we cannot recommend them highly enough. And if you happen to have other furry members of the family they also offer a gorgeous range of canine collars and bandanas, with ranges for other critters in the works!
South Paw Pets generously provided us with a Kitty Wave Scratcher and a Large Cat Bed for this shoot. These products are a steal at $26 (currently on sale) and $30 each respectively. The fabulous Cat Lure ($15) was already a part of our kitty-toy arsenal.
